What This Product Does

The CSV‑1564 series is a USB‑C® docking station designed for host systems supporting DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode.

It allows one USB‑C® host system to connect to external displays, USB devices, wired networking, audio devices, and receive dynamic charging through the dock.

Important Compatibility Notice

Display capabilities, including resolution, refresh rate, bandwidth, and number of supported displays, are limited by the source device, its graphics controller, USB‑C® implementation, and operating system.

The docking station does not override or extend host system limitations.

Apple macOS systems support Single‑Stream Transport (SST) mode only. Multi‑display configurations supported on Windows systems may not be available on macOS. This behavior is expected.

System Requirements

Before installation, ensure that:

  • The host system supports USB‑C® with DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode
  • The host system has the latest operating system and driver updates installed
  • External power is connected to the docking station

Connection Instructions

  1. Connect the black USB‑C® cable to the docking station using the angled connector on the marked side.
Connect the other end of the cable to the USB‑C® port of the host system.
  2. Connect the display device(s) to the appropriate video outputs on the dock.
  3. Connect USB peripherals, Ethernet cable, and audio devices as required.
  4. Connect the red USB‑C® power cable from the power supply to the USB‑C® port on the dock marked “RED”.
  5. Plug the power supply into a wall outlet and switch the dock on.

When powered correctly, the blue LED indicator will illuminate.

Power and Charging Behavior

External power is required for normal operation.
The docking station supports dynamic charging of the host system.
There is no need to connect the host system directly to the power adapter.

Ready for Use

Once connected and powered, the docking station is ready for operation.

Common Questions

Will this product always operate at the maximum supported resolution or number of displays?
No. Display performance, including resolution, refresh rate, bandwidth, and display count, is limited by the capabilities of the connected source device, its graphics controller, and the operating system.

Does this product change, convert, or extend the capabilities of the source device?
No. The product passes through video and audio signals. It does not override or extend limitations of the source device.

How does display behavior differ between Windows® and Apple® macOS systems?
Apple macOS systems support Single‑Stream Transport (SST) mode only.
As a result, extended multi‑display configurations supported on Windows systems may not be available on macOS, even when using the same hardware.

Is different behavior between systems normal?
Yes. Differences in display behavior are expected and depend on the source device and operating system. This does not indicate a product defect.
