What This Product Does

The CSV‑1565 is a USB‑C® docking station designed for systems supporting DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode.

  • Connects one USB‑C® host system to multiple peripherals
  • Supports external displays via DisplayPort™ Alt Mode 1.4
  • Supports Multi‑Stream Transport (MST) for up to three external displays, depending on host system support
  • Provides USB, Ethernet, audio, and dynamic host charging through the dock

Important Compatibility Notice

Display capabilities, including resolution, refresh rate, bandwidth, and number of supported displays, are limited by the source device, its graphics controller, and the operating system.

  • The dock does not extend or override host system limitations
  • Actual display behavior depends on USB‑C®, GPU, and OS capabilities

Apple® macOS Systems

  • Apple macOS supports Single‑Stream Transport (SST) mode only
  • As a result, MST‑based multi‑display configurations may not be available on macOS
  • Display behavior on macOS may differ from Windows® systems

This behavior is expected and does not indicate a product defect.

System Requirements

Before installation, ensure that:

  • The host system has the latest driver updates installed
  • The USB‑C® port supports DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode
  • The docking station is powered using the included external power supply

Connection Instructions

Follow the steps below in order:

  1. Connect the black USB‑C® cable to the docking station using the angled connector on the marked side of the dock.
Connect the other end to the USB‑C® port of the host system.
  2. Connect your display(s) to the appropriate video output ports on the dock.
Connect USB peripherals, Ethernet, and audio devices as required.
  3. Connect the red USB‑C® cable from the power supply to the USB‑C® port on the dock marked “RED”.
  4. Plug the power supply into a wall outlet and switch the dock ON.

When powered correctly, the blue LED indicator will illuminate.

Power and Charging Behavior

  • External power is required for normal operation
  • The CSV‑1565 supports dynamic charging of the host system
  • There is no need to connect the host directly to the power supply

This charging behavior is normal and expected.

Ready for Use

Once all connections are completed and the blue LED indicator is on, the docking station is ready for operation.

You can now access connected displays, peripherals, network, audio, and charging through a single USB‑C® connection.

Common Questions

Will this docking station always support the maximum number of displays and resolutions?
No. Display performance, including resolution, refresh rate, bandwidth, and number of supported displays, is limited by the capabilities of the connected host system, its graphics controller, and the operating system.

Does the CSV‑1565 change or extend the display capabilities of the host system?
No. The CSV‑1565 passes video signals using DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode. It does not override or extend the limitations of the host device.

Why may display behavior differ between Windows® and Apple® macOS systems?
Apple macOS systems support Single‑Stream Transport (SST) mode only. As a result, multi‑display configurations supported through MST on Windows systems may not be available on macOS.

Is external power required for normal operation and charging?
Yes. The CSV‑1565 requires the included external power supply. When powered, the docking station dynamically charges the host system through the USB‑C® connection.
