What This Product Does

The CSV‑2541 is a USB‑C® docking station designed to expand a single USB‑C® connection into multiple display outputs, USB ports, wired networking, audio, storage, and host charging.

It supports DisplayPort™ 1.4 Alternate Mode and allows:

  • A single external display up to 8K@30Hz, or
  • Two external displays up to 2 × 4K@60Hz (DSC), or
  • Triple‑display configurations such as 4K@60Hz + 2 × 4K@30Hz (DSC),

depending on host system capabilities.

Display Capability Notice

The CSV‑2541 docking station supports DisplayPort™ 1.4 Alternate Mode and Display Stream Compression (DSC), which together enable higher resolutions and multiple display outputs.

These capabilities are provided by the dock hardware itself.

The docking station is downward compatible with earlier DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode versions.

However, actual display resolution, refresh rate, and number of supported displays are limited by the host system, including:

  • USB‑C® DisplayPort™ implementation
  • Graphics controller (GPU)
  • Operating system

If the host supports DP 1.4 with DSC, higher resolutions and triple‑display configurations are possible.
If the host supports only DP 1.2, output will be limited to lower resolutions such as 4K@30Hz.

These limits reflect the host system capability, not the docking station capability.

Power Requirement

The docking station operates using its external power supply.

The supplied power adapter enables:

  • Up to 100 W USB‑C® Power Delivery to the host system
  • Power for connected displays, USB devices, and networking

External power must be connected for full functionality.

Compatibility Notice

Display resolution, refresh rate, bandwidth, and number of supported displays are limited by the host system, graphics controller, USB‑C® implementation, and operating system.

The docking station does not override host system limitations.

Apple macOS systems support Single‑Stream Transport (SST) only.
As a result, macOS systems may support fewer extended displays than Windows systems, even when using the same hardware.

System Compatibility Notes

  • Designed for USB‑C® hosts supporting DisplayPort™ Alternate Mode 1.4
  • Compatible with full‑featured USB‑C® laptops
  • Supported operating systems include Windows and macOS, subject to display limitations

Actual performance depends on the host device and connected displays.

Connection Instructions

  1. Connect the integrated USB‑C® cable from the docking station to the USB‑C® port of the host system.
  2. Connect external displays to the HDMI™ and/or DisplayPort™ ports.
  3. Connect USB peripherals, Ethernet cable, audio devices, and storage devices as required.
  4. Connect the 100 W power supply to the docking station using the supplied power cable.

Power and Charging Behavior

  • External power is required for full operation.
  • Up to 100 W of Power Delivery is available to charge the host system.
  • Available charging power may be reduced depending on connected devices and system load.

Ready for Use

Once connected and powered, the CSV‑2541 docking station is ready for operation.

You can now access multiple displays, USB peripherals, wired networking, audio, storage, and charging through a single USB‑C® connection.

Common Questions

Will this docking station always support three external displays?
Display count depends on host system and operating system support.

Does the docking station increase my computer’s display capability?
No. Display capability is determined by the host system.

Is external power required?
Yes. External power must be connected for full operation and charging.

3. Enjoy your Hub

  1. The above resolution combination is for reference only, the actual video output resolution depends on the connected host and displays.
  2. When connected to some hosts that support both DP1.4 and DSC at the same time, the Hub would display different images up to 4K/60Hzx2 simultaneously.
  3. If the host supports DP1.4 Alt mode, the output can be up to 8K/30Hz; If the host only supports DP1.2 Alt mode, the output will only be supported up to 4K/30Hz. The output resolution, refresh rate, video pixel format depends on the performance of the computer and the monitor
